He went whooshing this way \u2013 and he went whooshing that way \u2013 and wherever he went, trees shook, clothes went flying, the flowers lost their petals. He loved showing off his strength like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am the most powerful being in the world,\u201d he boasted.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally?\u201d asked the Sun. \u201cAre you sure?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course I am sure,\u201d the North Wind said. \u201cI am more powerful than you too. You cannot move and push people about. I can.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPower doesn\u2019t mean pushing people about,\u201d the Sun said. \u201cIt is getting people to do what you want them to do.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”13474″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]The Wind laughed. He was whooshing this way and that. He said, \u201cI can get them to do what I want. Wait, I will show you. Do you see that man below wearing a coat and a hat?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sun looked down and there was indeed a man walking below wearing a coat and a hat.<\/p>\n

\u201cWatch!\u201d said the North Wind. He began to blow hard, passing the man many many times.<\/p>\n

The man hugged the coat tighter to himself. He pressed the hat closer to his ears.<\/p>\n

The wind blew harder and harder. The man held his coat and hat tighter and tighter.<\/p>\n

The Wind huffed and puffed so much that soon he was tired.<\/p>\n

\u201cHave you quite finished?\u201d asked the Sun. \u201cNow watch me,\u201d he said. The sun began to shine brighter and brighter.<\/p>\n

In a little while, the man took off his coat. He was feeling hot.<\/p>\n

The Sun shone even brighter. The man took off his hat. He was sweating.<\/p>\n

\u201cSee?\u201d said the Sun. \u201cYou don\u2019t have to push people to get what you want, all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The North Wind said nothing. He whooshed away, ashamed of his arrogance.[\/vc_column_text]
