Obtaining Library Clearance – 2022

Students who have completed their degree programs by now are advised to obtain the library clearance prior to the convocation. Please follow below guidelines:

  1. Students can check whether there are overdue books and fines, etc., by logging into their library account (username: Registration No.; Default Password:***).
  1. The students who are able to come to the library can return borrowed books and pay off any dues, and obtain the library clearance endorsement on their record books. The library is accessible during only four working days, Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. under the prevailing situation of the country.
  1. The students, who have difficulty coming to the library, can pay off their fines (if applicable) as a bank deposit or online transaction to A/C No: 097-1-001-6-2315454 of the People’s Bank, Gangodawila Branch. The scanned copy of the bank slip/screenshot of online transaction should be sent to readerservices@sjp.ac.lk. The original bank slip/ print copy of online transaction should be sent by post to “The Main Library, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda” within one week. It is required to mention the name, student registration number, faculty and a contact number of the student along with the bank slip/screenshot of online transaction.
  1. The students who have books to return can sent those to “The Librarian, Main Library, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda” address via courier service or by hand. (Please note that the library is not responsible for the books until they are received to the library.) The library contact numbers for books sent via courier services are 0112758518 or 0112758526.
